St. Joseph’s Day

Yesterday was the Feast of St. Joseph, and our church parish celebrated this long-revered saint in a special way. Last year we had our first St. Joseph’s Altar at the parish and this year the altar was not only expanded, but the celebration included a procession after Holy Mass and a dinner! The event was beautiful and we came home with a ton of fruit and other goodies. Given our illnesses and vehicular situations, sadly, we were not able to commit to bringing anything for the altar, but we surely hope to next year. Last year I brought a gluten-free cake. Saint Joseph’s Day is special to our family in two ways: not only do we celebrate St. Joseph, but we celebrate Kermit’s birthday as well!
